Word — Pavement

The red-tiled pavement aside the lake. Going parallelly with it is a bicycle lane. The blue water ahead reflecting the sky in it. Absolutely calm. No movement at all. Sounds of vehicles passing by, some cyclists too. A wet evening with wet roads, washed-up trees, and puddles. It had just rained. The weather was a bit colder than usual. The muddy smell of clay and the taste of coffee from the roadside stall. Tree leaves are still wet and shiny from the rain. The mountains around looked like they were alive. Feeling of newness amongst everything years old. Far away on the other side of the lake some lights coming up. From the stalls and vehicles. Sun had set but there is still some light left. The reflection of the streetlights along the opposite banks in the water like floating lamps. Water losing its color to black as time goes by. Some sound of people chatting nearby, this was more of a chill side of the lake. The opposite bank had all the stalls and bizazz. A busier part of the lake. Could see some plastic litter inside the boundaries of the lake where the water has receded a few feet. Wonder what would they be talking about.
